WholesomeCo is committed to improving medical cannabis accessibility by putting patients' needs first and guiding them along their personal cannabis journeys..  This role will oversee all post-harvest processing, supply chain operations, and quality management for our medical cannabis processing facility.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Directly manage Post-Harvest Processing , Supply Chain Operations, and Quality Control, holding those teams accountable for operational KPIs.
  • Build a high-performing, data-driven team by fostering a culture of accountability, problem-solving, and professional development.
  • Empower managers and supervisors to take ownership of process improvements, ensuring a proactive approach to operational challenges.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Cultivation, Product Development, Sales, and Compliance teams to align production and supply chain with overall business goals.
  • Work cross functionally to drive the implementation of an MRP, and heavily participate in the eventual implementation of an ERP.
  • Develop and execute strategies to optimize post-harvest processing, supply chain operations, and quality systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, and waste minimization across operations.
  • Oversee all drying, curing, trimming, and packaging operations, ensuring consistency in product output, labor efficiency, and quality control.
  • Set and enforce KPIs for production efficiency, labor productivity, and yield optimization.
  • Implement automation in flower packaging and labeling to improve throughput and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure accurate data tracking and reporting for all post-harvest activities to inform decision-making.
  • Set forecast accuracy and inventory accuracy metrics to elevate the inventory planning process and performance.
  • Oversee and support the supply chain operations, ensuring seamless material flow and regulatory compliance.
  • Automate compliance labeling and inventory tracking through barcoding, RFID, or other technologies to eliminate manual inefficiencies.
  • Provide high-level oversight of quality assurance and compliance, GMP implementation, regulatory adherence, and data integrity.
  • Drive the implementation of a Quality Management System (QMS), incorporating CAPA processes, product/process failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead audit readiness efforts, ensuring that operations are always prepared for state inspections, internal audits, and third-party reviews.
  • Establish performance metrics for quality control, resolution times, waste reduction, and compliance adherence.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management or other related field is required.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and quality management within cannabis, food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, or supplements.
  • Proven expertise in process optimization, automation, and/or continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
  • Experience with MRP/ERP implementation, inventory control, and procurement systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP standards, compliance frameworks, and quality management systems.
  • Exceptional leadership, team-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to drive data-driven decision-making, with experience in KPI tracking, reporting, and performance optimization.
  •  Advanced knowledge of excel and/or google sheets
  • Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to occasionally lift totes containing product weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Must pass a pre-employment/post-offer background check
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
