Various medical cannabis services are offered, including statewide delivery to 99% of Utah's population, as well as retail, drive-thru, online pick-up services through its pharmacy in West Bountiful, an in-house built app for patients, innovative technology resources, cannabis cultivation, and cannabis processing of our constantly growing line of WholesomeCo branded products. Our company is in search of a Pharmacist in Charge. The Pharmacist in Charge will be responsible for the oversight of verifications of pharmacy transactions, oversight of patient consultations, ensuring our teams operate in a compliant manner with state regulations, and any other legal responsibilities under the Pharmacist in Charge role. The Pharmacist in Charge will also be responsible for oversight of the in-store patient experience by overseeing the patient interaction staff and management,
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the verification of all pharmacy transactions for accuracy and compliance with all state and federal regulations and company policies
- Oversee consultations with patients and prospective patients
- Oversee the in-store patient experience.
- Oversee and Manage Product Recalls
- Involved in management and oversight of retail operation and employees to ensure a high-quality patient experience is achieved
- Support patient drives, renewals, and other marketing events, including assisting with these events as necessary
- Scheduling pharmacists for their scheduled shifts and filling in when there are scheduling gaps
- Report on data metrics every week
- Ensuring performance standards are adhered to by staff
- Verify pharmacy transactions once a week and on an as-needed basis
- Consult patients and prospective patients once a week and on an as-needed basis
- Maintain store operational standards
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for patients and employees
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Directly supervise all activity within the Bountiful facility
- Oversee daily inventory operations
- Oversee the assistance of patients with their questions, problems, and complaints
- Handle all patient-related issues in accordance with company policy
- Monitor and ensure a high-quality patient experience for pharmacist interactions
- Direct and oversee all patient interactions and provide clinical counseling
- Coordinate with practitioners to facilitate positive patient outcomes
- Process payroll biweekly for the Pharmacist team
- Other job duties as requested
Qualifications:
- Experience within the cannabis industry is preferred
- Knowledge of the cannabis plant and benefits is highly preferred
- 5+ years of management experience is preferred
- Certified Registered Utah State Pharmacist
- Pharmacy management experience is required
- 5+ years of pharmacy experience
- Experience working in a heavily regulated industry necessary
- Strong leadership skills, ability to build and manage teams
- Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations
- Ability to remain compliant with all applicable laws as well as company SOPs and guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively via, email, phone calls, text, or any other methods frequently used within the company
- Proven track record of management in a high-paced, high-volume retail operation preferred
- Basic computer skills (i.e. email, excel)
- Data-driven
- Customer service experience for the time that you will be working at our pharmacy
- Ability to stand or sit for 8-12 hours
Cannabis Knowledge:
- WholesomeCo will provide access to medical cannabis educational tools
- Develop a deep understanding of cannabis forms, dosing, drug interactions, side effects, and available products
- Understand the efficacy of variance strains, potencies, and methods of delivery
