The Inventory & Fulfillment Manager will be a critical leader in our operation, responsible for overseeing all aspects of product fulfillment, inventory management, and logistics within WholesomeCo. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of state cannabis regulations and the ability to optimize processes for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with a passion for creating seamless operational workflows.
Responsibilities include:
Inventory Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain robust inventory control systems and procedures to ensure accurate tracking of all cannabis products (flower, edibles, concentrates, etc.) throughout the logistical supply chain.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Monitor inventory levels, identify trends, and forecast demand to prevent stockouts and minimize overstock.
- Manage inventory rotation to ensure product freshness and minimize waste.
- Oversee the receiving, inspection, and proper storage of all incoming products and raw materials.
- Implement and maintain secure storage protocols for all cannabis products, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
- Utilize and maintain specific software throughout for accurate tracking and reporting
Fulfillment Operations:
- Manage and optimize the order fulfillment process from order receipt to packaging and dispatch for wholesale, retail, and any other channels.
- Develop and enforce efficient picking, packing, and labeling procedures, ensuring accuracy and adherence to state standards and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with sales, production, and retail leadership teams to ensure timely and accurate order processing and delivery.
- Implement and manage quality control checks throughout the fulfillment process to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any fulfillment or inventory issues, escalating as necessary.
Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all state and local cannabis regulations, including but not limited to inventory reporting, packaging, labeling, and transportation guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all inventory and fulfillment activities for audit purposes.
- Collaborate with the compliance team to stay informed of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments to processes.
- Implement and enforce robust security protocols within the inventory and fulfillment areas to prevent diversion and ensure product safety.
- Assist in preparing for and participating in regulatory inspections and audits.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Ensure effective communication and coordination with all managers, staff, and cross-functional teams to ensure proper operations of the company.
- Train, mentor, and supervise a team of inventory and fulfillment associates.
- Set performance goals, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, productive, and safety-conscious work environment.
- Promote continuous improvement and professional development within the team.
Process Improvement & Technology:
- Continuously evaluate and improve fulfillment, inventory, and logistics processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve accuracy.
- Identify and implement appropriate technology solutions to streamline operations.
- Develop and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of inventory and fulfillment operations.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Management, Operations or other related fields are strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in operations, supply chain, and inventory management within cannabis, food, beverage, pharmaceuticals, or supplementals.
- Proven expertise in process optimization, automation, and/or continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Exceptional leadership, team-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to drive data-driven decision-making, with experience in KPI tracking, reporting, and performance optimization.
- Strong proficiency with data optimization software such as Excel/Google Suite etc
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
- Must be able to occasionally lift totes containing product weighing up to 50 lbs
- Must pass a pre-employment/post-offer background check
- Must be 21 years of age or older
